How the appointment works
1. Coat check
We part the coat at the hips, chest, and behind the ears to see how tight the undercoat is before quoting the trim.
2. Pre-brush and de-mat
Safe, humane de-matting where the coat allows. If it doesn't, we talk to you about a shorter length first.
3. Bath
Two washes and a conditioning treatment formulated for curly coats.
4. Hand dry and straighten
High-velocity plus hand drying to open the curl so the trim finishes evenly.
5. Haircut and finish
Clipper work, scissor finishing on the head and legs, then nails, ears, and pads.

Will you shave my doodle?
Only if the coat is matted to the point that brushing it out would hurt your dog. We always show you the matting first and talk through the options.
How do I keep my doodle from matting between grooms?
Line brush with a slicker and a metal comb two or three times a week, focusing behind the ears, in the armpits, and on the hind legs. If a comb won't pass to the skin, it's already matting.
Do you use cage dryers on doodles?
No. Every dog is hand and stand dried. It's safer, and it's the only way to get a doodle to finish soft and full.
